Globul Bulgaria – currently part of Telenor Group

Leading telecommunication services and products provider in Bulgaria.

In August 2005, 100% of the company shares were purchased by the Cosmote Group – a major player on the telecommunication markets in Greece, Romania, Albania and Macedonia. In the spring of 2006, the company changed its corporate identity in order to reflect the change in ownership and mark a new stage in its development - as an operator within the Cosmote Group, currently part of Telenor Group.

As of the end of 2012, GLOBUL has 4.5 million subscribers, while its services are available to 99.98% of Bulgaria’s population, covering over 99.48% of the country’s territory. The GLOBUL UMTS network covers 94.81% of the population.

The company has developed a wide distribution network. GLOBUL offers products and services in over 430 points of sale spread all over Bulgaria. The official GLOBUL representatives are Germanos, GlobalNet and Internity. The company possesses a chain of 145 brand stores. We have successful partnerships with over 3000 distributors and suppliers.

As a result of the beneficial partnership with Germanos and the received excellent from its upper management evaluations for the system, following the merging of Germanos and Globul under the Cosmote group ownership, the SelMatic solution was implemented in the retail chain of Globul in 2007.

It replaced the previously used software - Deltek Maconomy. SelMatis POS interfaced with the backend ERP which is SAP.

Some other integrations were made: Globul bill payments (BPA), third party bill payments (electricity, water and others), third party event tickets, third part lottery tickets.

Germanos Telecom Bulgaria EAD

Germanos is the trademark, under which the enterprise Germanos Telecom – Bulgaria EAD conducts its busines activities, being part of the Greek group of companies Germanos, later part of Cosmote Group, currently part of Telenor Group.

Today the group owns more than 700 stores in four European states and is among the leaders in telecommunication products and services retail in Eastern Europe.

With over 130 stores (including owned and franchised stores) in 73 cities and towns in Bulgaria, Germanos is the largest store chain for telecommunication products and services within the country.

Germanos has been the main commercial partner of GLOBUL from September 2001, when the mobile operator commenced its business activity in Bulgaria.

In the beginning of 2006 the management of Germanos Telekom decides to replace the used POS software (previous software provider: Singular Logic) and also to establish a complete system for the purpose of securing a front office solution for the retail chain.

A fundamental criterion for choosing a solution was the option for adaptation of the software to the specific needs of telecommunications industry retail.

The project was realized extremely quickly. More than 200 changes of functionalities were made in two months; customizations were also made in order to compy with the specifics of the pricing in the telecommunications industries – special prices, dcounts, bundles, promotions, etc.

The backend ERP is SAP with which SelMatic has interface. Other integrations: Globul bill payments (BPA), third party bill payments (electricity, water and others), third party event tickets, third part lottery tickets.

Germanos has over 250 users working simultaneously. SelMatic’s solution was the preferred software solution even after the several changes of the ownership of the company (respectively, several new evaluations of the software) and continues to work flawlessly until this very day.

One Macedonia (Germanos Telecom Macedonia)

ONE is a telecommunication operator in Macedonia, the first operator in the country that offered a complete range of telecommunications services and a member of the powerful Telekom Slovenia Group, one of the most successful groups in Southeast Europe, with subsidiaries in Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania as well as a 50% stake in Gibtelecom, the national operator in Gibraltar.

As of November 11, 2009 the renowned telecommunications company COSMOFON and the internet provider on.net operate under the name One. They launchen the new brand ONE.

The network of ONE covers 99,9% of the population and 98,17% of the territory of the Republic of Macedonia with a quality signal.

SelMatic POS was chosen among a number of other software products by ONE Telekomunikaciski Uslugi AD for its telecommunication services and products retail chain. The Bulgarian software system offers significantly more options and has proven its successful functioning in the retail chains of Germanos and Globul Bulgaria.

The program is localized in Macedonian. SelMatic POS is entirely compliant with the current Macedonian legislation and contains the important financial documents “ET” and “PLT”.

SelMatic POS has interface with the backend SAP ERP and Oracle ERP. Some other integrations were made as well: Cosmofon bill payments (SAP RMCA), online store integration.

2be and Fonbox Bulgaria

In 2007 Kimimpex Trade and Leasing conducted a tender for a software system for its retail chains 2be and Fonbox which sold telecommunications products and were partners of the two telecom operators Globul and Germanos.

Our software system defeated number of other software products thanks to its significantly larger number of options and proven successful functioning in the telecommunications retail chains and also thanks to the experience in that field that the SelMatic possessed.

The system was implemented quickly and started working flawlessly. The whole retail business was now run by using SelMatic POS with all the necessary reports and analyses included.

SelMatic POS started being used in the retail chain of 2be and Fonbox which numbered over 130 stores.

SelMatic POS has interface with the backend ERP which is SAP. The SAP implementer was IBM Bulgaria.

Other integrations: third party bill payments (electricity, water and others), third party show tickets.

Multirama

In July 2010 Multirama,  the biggest specialized computer, computer products and IT retail chain on the Bulgarian market chose to use SelMatic`s software solutions. It had 10 stores in the biggest cities in Bulgaria.

As a result of the gained experience of integrating SelMatic POS with big ERP systems servicing chain stores, an interface with the ERP system Atlantis was developed. That was the backend ERP that Multirama used for its stores and it was yet another successful project of integration of SelMatic with a big ERP system.

The whole retail business is run by using SelMatic POS with all the necessary reports and analyses, including the Business-to-Business department, which also uses the additional specific module SelMatic BI.

Multirama`s data was transferred from the old system without interrupting the work process in 35 retail locations of the company and things started working effortlessly with the new software on the very next day.

The entire implementation process was completed in less than two months. The necessary custom software functionalities were developed.

A module for warranty and post-warranty guarantee period service of computers and peripherals was developed to match the specific needs of Multirama.

It was a developed functionality for accepting the computer for repair on-site (store), and details like description of the defect, customer, tracing to the service, etc. could be filled in.

SelMatic POS was also integrated with the BI platform QlickView, thus allowing the management team to make reports and analyses.

Developed integration with the online store of Multirama Ltd was a part of the joint partnership with SelMatic Ltd., which provided additional business opportunitis.

2be Mobile Macedonia

After the successful implementation of SelMatic POS at 2be and Fonbox Bulgaria, it was chosen for the Macedonian telecom products retailer 2be.

The program is localized in Macedonian. SelMatic POS is entirely compliant with the current Macedonian legislation.

Public Bulgaria

Public world Founded by Germanos in 2005, its main business is retail with hi-tech, mobile phones, computer games, books and magazines.

In 2009 Public choose SelMatic POS for managing its retail business.

AMC Albania

Albanian Mobile Communications Sh.A. (AMC), part of Deutsche Telekom group, recently operates as Telekom Albania.

A POS retail system, based on our new ERP platform, has been successfully implemented in one of the leading telecommunication companies in Albania – AMC. The project has been proceeded together with Printec Albania.
